Skin Protection- During the summer, we are told to put 35-45-65 –
75 spf, which for some maybe a good idea, but most people need the vitamin D
that the sun provides. (These shortened days, whether we know it or not,
cause us a deficiency in some important vitamins. Not getting as much vitamin D
throughout these months can negatively effect us. Actually, the sun does not
provide the vitamin D, but the ultra violet light that the sun omits, develops
the Vitamin D in our bodies.. We can take supplements, but drinking and
eating other foods high in vitamin D is a great idea, especially for women
during these months.
Cleansing: It's important for you to remember that you
will need to select your skin care based on how your skin is 'feeling' at any
point in your life.
If your skin is oily, you can choose a foaming cleanser to
remove excess oil, and a lighter, water-based moisturizer If your skin is dry,
you should select a gentle cream cleanser and a heavier moisturizer If your
skin is sensitive, natural skin care products may be best for you, and cause
less irritation than products with synthetic ingredients.
