Blog #2 - How are you!?

It's been about a week and I think I'm about ready for my 2nd blog!  I actually have a Mary Kay website in the works as well, but I can't publish it until I become a Mary Kay Director! So I will keep blogging along until then. I'm kinda liking this!

Anyways, you may, (or may not) be asking yourself, what all this Director talk has been about lately, so I thought maybe I should try and explain it here. The Director position is basically like saying, "Hello, I am now an official, full time Mary Kay consultant. How may I help you!?"

In order to reach this awesome goal, our team must be made up of 24 teams members, and reach a certain amount in sales (ends October 30th). Our team is getting there, but not there yet! We are working really hard, but always appreciate the love and support of our friends and family!!

Because we are so close, I wanted to let everyone know about the $$$ or product incentive program we have right now for ........

Referrals, Referrals, Referrals!!!

If everyone can think of one person, who could potentially have a need for Mary Kay products, or possibly even join our expanding team, there is definitely a benefit to you! (I will explain the benefits when you contact us!) Please email me today that person you have in mind! Operators are standing by ;) lesleynewlin@hotmail.com

"Pretty for Pink" (In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month)

This is a new and exciting home party idea that has a really great cause in mind! The idea is to host a party in October,  where each participant would bring a check for at least $10 written to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/  and along with supporting the cause, we would have a skin, facial, or spa event (which ever would be preferred!) Hence the name "Pretty" - the Mary Kay pampering portion, with the "Pink" - for breast cancer. Contact me to book your party today!

Halloween craft/ decorating idea - Milk Carton Ghosts

The boys and I made these last year, and all the neighborhood kids loved them. (Some of them loved them a little too much) Simple and inexpensive to make and can make them anyway you want! Please let me know what ideas you have! http://thekrazycouponlady.com/family/repurposeful-play-make-spooky-halloween-ghosts-with-old-milk-jugs/

Small Business Recognition

Each issue, I would like to recognize other small businesses that we have relationships with. I feel this is important because all small businesses need free publicity now and then ;), and am honored to have the opportunity to help others out any way I can! This time around, I would like to recognize Cheryl Havelka and her Lia Sophia business.

Her website is http://sites.liasophia.com/sites/cherijewelry?T=1348022677913. If you are looking for jewelry help, she is your girl!

To be recognized in future postings, please let me know!

KLAUK family update!

Alec is entering his busiest season at Ambius (www.ambius.com) His company does a lot of Christmas decorations for places likes hotels and hospitals, so he is busy planning and designing their decor/displays!
Aidan has been in preschool here in Orland Hills for about a month. He loves his school and teachers and has already made a new best buddy, Adam!
Bennett is still growing and showing his independence more and more each day. His 5th tooth is coming in, and has been a little fussy because of it.
Sadie and Blue - our two barn cats are doing well, but could do without the constant tail pulling from Bennett!

I will wrap it up for now, but wanted to remind everyone, if there is anyone you think our team can help, please let me know!

Thank you and hope this finds everyone well!

With Love,

 Lesley ;)

How fun, my first blog! I guess I am officially a blogger!

I have created a blog for a lot of reasons, but mainly to keep everyone informed about Mary Kay, tips on how and how not to run an independent business, and updates on myself and my family (but I will keep those short and sweet, I promise!!! ;) )

Here also, I will post special promotions, sales, and other pieces of information I think you may want to know about. I want to keep you in the loop - because who likes to be out of the loop???

Soon, I'll be talking/writing about...

-"Pretty for Pink" events
- Fall MK Sales and promotions
- MK referral program
- Halloween Decorating ideas
-Klauk family updates

I will leave it at that today, but do want to leave you with a quote today I thought was cute.

"“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” - Dr. Seuss

Take care everyone!

Lesley ;)

(Oh, and please comment below if you have any questions or suggestions on how I can make this a blog people will actually look forward to receiving and hopefully read ;)! - Thanks!)
